Poetry und Lyrics
Very Proudly
Should we toast to the success you said
looking at me from across the table
but I didn’t understand
I said it's no success if I need to hide here instead
you said it is success that I'm not dead
You raised a glass of best champaign
That money could ever buy
You said then toast to the future
And all the things that are yet to come
We toasted to beginning of our belittled friendship
We toasted to this new special bound
Cos some things will then stay bound forever
And toast to all that’s yet to come
All your money in the bank
Or money of your government
Could never buy me back the days
That this war have put to waste
All the jewels crystals and shine things
Even if I’m treated like a queen
Nothing can supplant my family’s
Simplicity that we had
It was only 5 days later
When first planes flew over
And bombs explode(ed)
You told me there’s nothing to worry
That your fleet is much stronger
And that’s all that matters
That you’ll protect us
No matter what
No matter the cost
I felt like you have run crazy
Like if you have lost your mind
But even when you got criticized
You never blinked your eyes
Or ever bow your head
Was I the only one
Who saw all the tears that felt
Should you really trust me like that
Toast to all that’s yet to come
All your money in the bank
Or money of your government
Could never buy me back the days
That this war have put to waste
All the jewels crystals and shine things
Even if I’m treated like queen
Nothing can supplant my family’s
Simplicity that we had
And when you win over this ruined land
When you earn your pride and you earn your stand
When half of people praise you and call your name
The other half will hate you and won’t understand
The same way like I can’t how you call this success
If only think it created was hurt, ruins and mess
Is it fair to toast to what’s yet to come
When so many lost future
In such senseless act of crime
All your money in the bank
Or money of your government
Could never buy me back the days
That this war have put to waste
All the jewels crystals and shine things
Even if I’m treated like queen
Nothing can supplant my family’s
Simplicity that we had
